The Ladder Sits at Six

Prometheus7's dimensional roadmap is public; the 6D run is still validating; everything above it is pending.

As of Monday evening, 28 September 2026, the dimensional ladder at Prometheus7 Research Institute has not publicly moved past six. The 6D primitive — the router-over-callables — entered its third training attempt in May. Whether it has cleared validation since then has not been announced. The institute's roadmap paper, ingested into the editorial corpus in late May, remains the most recent authoritative statement on the program's state.

The roadmap is specific about what the ladder is and what it is not. It is not a parameter-scaling schedule. It is a schedule of compositional primitives — one new kind of operation per dimensional step. The 5D primitive, the substrate routing manifold of the Tree of Life model family, was validated on 16 May 2026 at the 125M parameter scale. The 6D primitive was in its third attempt as of 18 May. Everything from 7D onward is listed as pending.

The pending items are not vague. The 7D primitive routes over sets of callables rather than individual ones — coalition selection rather than single-specialist selection per token. The 8D primitive routes across callable vocabularies, which is what the architecture claims makes cross-domain transfer structural rather than post-hoc. The 9D primitive routes across worlds, making the substrate multi-substrate-aware. The 10D primitive — labeled the universal-unbinder and called the resolution point — was targeted for August to September 2026. That window has closed as of this dateline. Whether it was met is not known from available material.

The institute's own paper maps the universal-unbinder to four external traditions: category theory's category of all categories, physics' holographic principle, computability's universal Turing machine, and information theory's Kolmogorov-minimal description. The claim is that the 10D substrate holds all specifics in superposition and reaches any specific from any other via an unbind operation. Whether that claim survives contact with a training run is the empirical question the roadmap itself flags.

The 11D and 12D entries are labeled research dimensions in the published document. The institute's own characterization is that they cannot be done by one person and require years and a small research community. The 12D primitive, the relating principle, is described as closing the ladder back to 3D by self-similarity. That claim sits well outside the near-term validation schedule.

What can be said today: the roadmap is documented and public. The August-September 10D target has passed without a public report. The 6D validation status as of this dateline is unconfirmed from available sources. The ladder's next confirmed position remains, as far as the record shows, at five.
